Waitaha Aquatic Centre, while privately owned, is also open for casual lane swimming.

Christmas/New Year hours

We are open 6.00-6.00pm Monday 17, Tuesday 18, Wednesday 19 December.

We close for the year on Thursday 20 December. Hours for New Year period:

Sunday 1^st to Sunday 6^th January                      closed

Monday 7^th to Friday 11^th January                    9.00am – 6.00pm

Saturday 12^th & Sunday 13^th January               closed

Monday 14^th to Friday 18^th January                   9.00am – 6.00pm

Saturday 19^th & Sunday 20^th January                8.30am – 1.30pm

Casual swimming hours

Apart from our Christmas/New Year closedown period casual swimming is available at the following times:

Monday – Thursday:         6.00am – 3.30pm; 6.45pm –  8.00pm

Friday:                                        6.00am – 3.30pm

Saturday & Sunday:           9.00am – 1.30pm main pool;    12.00 – 1.30pm small pool

No casual swimming is available in either pool weekdays during the school term between 3.30-6.45pm

Public holidays

We are closed on Public Holidays and Public Holiday weekends.

School bookings

Sometimes we have schools booked in with us. At these times the small pool will be unavailable, however limited space is available in the main pool unless otherwise stated.

Unaccompanied children

Unaccompanied children are unable to swim at our complex.

Children’s safety is paramount; our policy is all children under 14 years of age must be accompanied and actively supervised by a parent/caregiver aged over 16 years at all times.

All children in the water under the age of 7 must be actively supervised and within arm’s reach of a parent/caregiver at all times.
